The owned croft Vidlin & Queeness is situated in the centre of the village of Vidlin itself, close to the school. It comprises the five areas of ground (No’s 1 to 5 on the plan lying along the west side of the voe, north of the road through Vidlin. Most of this land has been re-seeded.
There are a couple of buildings on this land including a large 24m part stone / part block-built shed with power, towards the northern end of area 1, plus a substantial 9.45m stone-built detached boat shed at the junction of the school road and the main road. Also included is a quarter acre area (No.6) immediately to the north of the ferry terminal plus a jetty and concrete base for a small marina pontoon within the sheltered waters by the marina.
As much of the Vidlin & Queeness ground is adjacent to existing properties, planning for a house site would not normally be expected to be a problem although prospective purchasers should satisfy themselves in this regard by contacting the local planning office directly.
