3 Bedrooms, Living Room, Kitchen / Diner, Bathroom
Three bedroom, semi-detached property in very convenient position close to the pier in the centre of Mid Yell, within walking distance of amenities including the Junior High School, leisure centre & swimming pool, health centre & shop.
The property which has oil-fired central heating, comprises a bright living room and good-sized kitchen / diner on the ground floor, both west-facing, plus two double and one single bedroom, and a bathroom on the first floor.
Fenced garden areas to the front & rear.
The property requires general refurbishment which is reflected in the price but nonetheless offers potential for an attractive starter home with the benefit of amenities close at hand.
7 Bellevue is situated a stone's throw from the pier and beach in the centre of the village of Mid Yell on the island of Yell, the larger of Shetland's north isles, the village being Yell's main population centre and the location of its main amenities including the Junior High School, leisure centre & swimming pool, and also a health centre, all of which are within walking distance of the house. There is also a small shop, further shops being at Aywick and also Ulsta by the ferry terminal.
Measuring about 19 miles long x 7½ miles wide and having a population of around 900, Yell is connected to Mainland Shetland by a regular ro-ro ferry service which runs throughout the day from Ulsta at the south end of the island, about 10 miles from the house, to Toft about 28 miles north of Lerwick. A similar service runs from Gutcher at the north end of Yell, to the neighbouring island of Unst.
The property which is understood to have been built in the 1960's, is of cavity concrete blockwork construction below a fibre cement tiled roof which appears to have been renewed in recent times. Central heating is provided by an oil-fired boiler housed in a small external boiler room / store.
The property is being sold in its current condition and no warranties will be given in respect of any contents or services

Thanks again for your brilliant service with both my property sales over the past years. Your experience in Shetland is much noted with local people.
Selling my house whilst living in Edinburgh was a daunting prospect but I should not have worried. The communications between both parties was easy and the sale of my property went through without any hitches.
