Overview
Great opportunity to acquire a spacious four / five bedroom detached home with stunning views in the popular Fogralea residential area of Lerwick, conveniently located within walking distance of Anderson High School, Sound Primary School, Clickimin Leisure Centre and Tesco’s.
This fine family home comprises four double bedrooms, a spacious living room, separate dining room, kitchen, bathroom and separate shower room which have both been recently re-fitted, all on the one level.
The property benefits from a huge basement with hobby room / 5th bedroom and extensive storage space provided by a large workshop, garage and underfloor area.
The property has uPVC double-glazed windows and warm air central heating is provided by an oil-fired boiler.
Ideal family home at the end of a small cul-de-sac with lots of storage space – early viewing recommended.
Accommodation
The property is accessed via stairs leading up to the front door, the glazed inner door opening to a large hallway with two handy storage cupboards and access to the loft.
The spacious living room enjoys fantastic elevated views over the clickimin loch & broch, the large picture window providing lots of natural light. There is potential to open up the fireplace to have an open fire although this should be tested before use. Adjoining is the separate dining room, also a good size, and the large window letting in lots of natural light. The living room is carpeted, the dining room has wood effect laminate flooring.
The large kitchen overlooks the side garden which can be accessed via the back door. The modern fitted units have white gloss doors and black worktops and include an integral hob, double oven and dishwasher. The large American style fridge / freezer, washing machine and tumble dryer are included in the sale. Terracotta tile effect vinyl flooring. Note that one ring on the hob and the grill do not work.
The bathroom and shower room have both recently been completely re-fitted, each room comprising a white suite, the wash hand basin and WC being set in a run of fitted units which provides handy storage for toiletries etc and also conceals the cistern. Grey tile effect vinyl flooring.
Finally, there are four bright and spacious double bedrooms, two to the front and two to the rear.
Stairs by the front door access the basement, a large cupboard under the stairs providing storage space. On the right is a hobby room / 5th bedroom which looks out over to the loch and has a shelved cupboard with a hanging rail. Off the hobby room is the boiler room.
On the other side of the hallway is a large workshop with access to the under floor area of the house which benefits from a concrete floor so would provide plenty of storage space although it is height restricted. A door from the workshop opens to a large garage with ‘up & over’ door.
