The property offers a great opportunity to get a first step on the property ladder, or it would be an ideal holiday home or buy-to-let

General Information

Chalet 1 is situated approximately 10 miles west of Lerwick in the attractive setting of Wormadale at the head of Whiteness Voe, the location putting the town within easy commuting distance by car or by bus as Westside bus services run along the main west side road a short distance from the property.

Amenities in the immediate area include a local shop about ¾ of a mile away on the main road, a primary school about a mile further on, and a second shop with post office & fuel, at Weisdale, a mile past the school.

Open-plan Kitchen / Living / Dining Area

(Overall approx. 4.25m x 5.6m + 1.9m x 1.65m (floor area at maximum width)) (14' x 18'6" + 6'3" x 5'5") An uPVC double glazed door opens to the kitchen area of the open-plan main ground floor space, a door to the side opening to the shower room.

The kitchen area which has fitted units including an inset sink and plumbing for a washing machine (appliances not included), and wood laminate flooring, is lit by a Velux window with integral blind. The bright carpeted living / dining area has a wide floor-to-ceiling window to the south taking full advantage of the stunning view to the voe. There is a further Velux window, again with integral blind to the east. Small built-in cupboard housing the hot water tank, lighting provided by two feature lights to the living / dining area and spotlights to the kitchen, satellite TV connection.

Shower Room

(Approx. 2.15m x 1.55m at widest points) (7' x 5') The modern shower room has a wet-wall lined corner shower with glazed shower screen, plus a white WC and wash hand basin set on the fitted cupboard providing handy storage space, with light / shaver fitting over.

Upstairs Bedroom

(Approx. 5.9m x 2.7m (floor area at maximum width)) (19'4" x 9') A spiral staircase from the living area leads to the good-sized bedroom upstairs, a carpeted space running the full length of the property with large windows at either end plus a Velux window with integral blind.

The property sits in a mainly grassed garden area, one of the larger plots of all the chalets, which is enclosed by a fence and includes space for a table & chairs by the door.

Location Desired

Please do not select all locations - different areas in Shetland have quite different characteristics. For example, it would be unlikely that a property in Lerwick will be of interest to someone considering a croft house in Yell or Unst.

Please note any additional requirements, queries or comments in the box provided.
