Eshaness is a particularly unspoilt area of Shetland well known for its dramatic and rugged cliff scenery with great walks along the cliff tops by the lighthouse.

A couple of miles from the house is a summer cafe and campsite with further amenities being available at nearby Hillswick (about 6 miles from the house) where there is a community-owned licensed shop which also has a part-time post office branch and sells fuel, a health centre and hotel. There is a primary school at Urafirth on the road back towards Lerwick, and additional amenities at Ollaberry (another shop & school), and also Brae, the main population centre for the North Mainland area, where there is a high school, swimming pool & leisure centre, another health centre, Co-op mini supermarket, garage services and various social & recreational activities.

Please do not select all locations - different areas in Shetland have quite different characteristics. For example, it would be unlikely that a property in Lerwick will be of interest to someone considering a croft house in Yell or Unst.
