Burrapark is situated right next door to the health centre in the village of Mid Yell, the main population centre on the island of Yell and the location of the island's main amenities which are within walking distance of the house and include the Junior High School (nursery to secondary 4), a leisure centre with heated indoor swimming pool, main hall, squash court, fitness room & football pitch, and also a local shop, there being further local shops at Aywick and by the ferry terminal at Ulsta.

Yell is the largest of Shetland's outer isles and has a population of around 950. It is linked to mainland Shetland by a regular ro-ro ferry service which operates from Ulsta at the south end of the island to Toft on mainland Shetland, the crossing taking approximately 20 minutes, Toft being situated approximately 25 miles north of Lerwick, Shetland's main town. A ferry from Gutcher at the north of Yell runs to the neighbouring island of Unst.

The property is fully double glazed and heated by electric storage heaters.

To reach the property drive into Mid Yell and turn left at the 'T'-junction by the Hilltop Bar. Follow the road past the sign to Gardiestaing and turn next left to Reafirth and follow the road around to the left following signs for the health centre and police station. The Burrapark houses are immediately after the health centre on the left. Turn left into Burrapark; No. 9 is in the very far right hand corner.
